Education and Training
One of the first things you should focus on as a new realtor is education and training. In most states, you will need to complete pre-licensing coursework and pass an exam to become licensed. However, education shouldn’t stop there. Continuing education can help you stay up-to-date with changing regulations and market trends, and can help you provide better service to your clients.
Not all broker are created equal. Do spend the time vetting out the broker, see what kind of training they are providing. Does it fit what you are trying to do? There is no one side fit all solution when it come to education and training.

Networking
Networking is crucial for any new realtor looking to build their business. You should attend networking events, join professional associations, and reach out to potential clients. Building a strong network of contacts can help you find leads and establish relationships with other agents in the industry.
The own way of doing real estate where you sit in a silo making phone call and seeing every other realtor as your enemy is over. Real estate game is now a collective and collaborative effort among all of us. Even guy like me that is not a social bug and rather play video game or watch Netflix, I still find tons of value every single time i drag myself out to an event

Prospecting
Prospecting is the process of seeking out new leads and potential clients. As a new realtor, you’ll need to develop effective prospecting strategies to generate business. This can involve strategies such as door-knocking, cold calling, direct mail, or digital marketing. Whatever methods you choose, it’s important to be consistent and persistent.
Unless you have tons of money spending on marketing, Your phone will not ring. You have to make it ring by prospecting. Again, it make the introvert people like myself go crazy but you this is something you just have to intentionally do it.
I was having breakfast this morning with my team at a coffee shop and I saw this lady reading a book about short term rental. I came over compliment on the book and the next thing i know I have an investor leads ready to buy a house with me!
prospect prospect prospect. I can’t stress it enough.
Building a Brand In Real Estate
creating a professional image is important. Developing a personal brand can help establish credibility and differentiate yourself from the competition. This can involve creating a website, developing marketing materials, and being active on social media. By building a strong brand, you can establish yourself as an expert in your field and attract more clients.
I am not telling you to spend thousands of dollar on branding a marketing. Thanks to technology it is fairly simple to brand yourself. Most modern brokerage like eXp Realty will allow you to brand yourself. Take advantage of it, pick your brand color, spend a few bucks for a logo on looka.com and go.
Mentoring and Coaching
Finally, seeking guidance from experienced realtors or hiring a coach can be invaluable for a new realtor. They can help you learn from the experiences of others and avoid common mistakes, as well as provide guidance on business planning and goal-setting. A mentor or coach can help you develop the skills and strategies you need to succeed in the competitive world of real estate.
This is so important. You should have multiple mentor that you can reach out to in a collaborative group environment. if there is a Mentor that say i know it all, run a way from him. Real estate is very board and one mentor can humanly be good at one or two thing max. Myself for example i would love how to show you how to invest in real estate and identifying cash flow property, but don’t come to me for open house question, there are other expert in the group that do that.
